Popcorn Sale

We are excited for another of popcorn sales! This program is a great way for our scouts to get out into their communities. Questions? Email pack488and489@gmail.com with subject line "Popcorn."

Ways to Sell:                                                                                 

Show and Deliver

• The Scout carries popcorn with them as they go door-to-door (in a wagon, van or car) and is able to fulfill the customer's popcorn order right away.

• Contact leadership if you would like a selection of popcorn.

Take Orders

• The Scout goes door to door using the Trails End app. 

• The customer writes his/her order directly on the Trails End app, including taking payment with credit/debit card. If they pay in cash, you can take the cash and convert to credit card directly on app! 

Online Orders

• Online Seller link is found on your Trails End app account

• Popcorn is paid for online and shipped directly to the customer. The Seller ID used gets credit for the sale. Chocolate items will be delayed in shipping to avoid melting. 

• Online products are different than in-person products – additional varieties, chocolates and coffee are also available.

Selling at Work

• Parent or guardian can use the app to sell to coworkers! 

Show and Sells 

• Show and Sells make up a big part of our popcorn program. We've obtained permission from local businesses to set up a sales table.  Show and Sells have plenty of products on-hand for people to buy.  Different Scouts work at the table in shifts.  Always have adult supervision.  

• Sign up for store fronts listed on Trails End app! 

Scouts can also create their own Show and Sell 

• By reaching out to local businesses and getting permission to set up a table for sales.  If you do, be sure to let us know.  We're happy to help you help us by coordinating other Scout's participation and providing the popcorn!  

Collecting Payment

• You can accept payment directly on the app! No more handling checks/cash! 

• Cash and checks are accepted but it's easist if you use the credit option directly on the app. 

  • PLEASE NOTE: Checks must be made out to "Pack 488" and NOT "Pack 489" 

  • At the end of the selling period, you are just responsible for payment for product sold/military donations. It doesn't matter how that final payment is made. 

Prizes and Rewards:

• Keep track of your earnings directly on the app! At the end of selling, you will be able to claim your gift cards based on the level you reached. For example, if you sell $600, you will earn a $25 gift card. If you sell $1000, it is a $45 gift card and so on!

Our fundraising effort helps to make Scouting a great experience for our sons, siblings and parents.  Here is a just a small sampling of the activities supported by your fund raising efforts and participation:

  •  Campground reservation for fall/winter/spring events
